FOXBORO, MASS. (WHDH) - Patriots fans said they were pleased with Jimmy Garoppolo’s first game as starting quarterback Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals.

Garoppolo helped lead the Patriots to a 23-21 win. Fans at Patriot Place told 7News they have faith in the Patriots to play well even without stars Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski.

“I was absolutely thrilled with it,” said Larry Rask. “Lot of doubts going in watching the preseason but last night was just thrilling.”

“I thought he did a good job, considering it was his first game,” said Dennis Tavares.

The Patriots play at Gillette Stadium the next three weeks and Brady will join them when his suspension is lifted in Week 5.
