FOXBORO, MASS. (WHDH) - Patriots players were put under wraps Tuesday evening at a holiday event for children in need.

The team’s New England Patriots Charitable Foundation hosted the “Wrap a Pat” holiday party for 250 Salvation Army children in need. Patriots players, cheerleaders and mascot Pat Patriot helped Santa Claus bring cheer to the children.

Players including Jabaal Sheard also participated in the main event, letting the children wrap them in crepe paper in crepe paper and decorations so they looked like big Christmas trees.

The foundation was started by Patriots owner Robert Kraft to support charities throughout New England.
