BOSTON (WHDH) - Three Patriots players, along with owner Robert Kraft, decided to spend Halloween with the Boston Police Department.

Devin McCourty, LeGarett Blount and Matthew Slater stopped by to show their support for the BPD.

Police said that Commissioner Evans greeted them in his conference room, where they discussed football and community policing.

After speaking with Evans, they headed out to the Teen Center at Saint Peter’s in Dorchester to watch a basketball game between BPD officers and kids from the area.

After the game, the honorary officers, Kraft and the players, geared up for a ride-along with members of the Youth Violence Strike Force to get a firsthand look at the work done by members of BPD.

Police said they appreciated them stopping by during their downtime and look forward to seeing them back in action next week.

They also wished the team good luck in the second half of the season.
