A “Pro Football Talk” report indicates NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell is being pushed by a small group of influential owners to not change New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady’s 4-game suspension for Deflategate.
However, the threat of the case landing in a federal appeals court is working against Goodell.
Goodell is reportedly being advised to not change the suspension and to force a court to reduce it.
“Pro Football” talk is also reporting that no progress has been made in a potential deal between Goodell and the players union.
