NEW YORK (AP) — Left-hander Eduardo Rodriguez has been recalled by the Boston Red Sox from Triple-A Pawtucket and is expected to start against the New York Yankees on Saturday.

Rodriguez originally was scheduled to start Friday’s game at New York but was pushed back a day. Knuckleballer Steven Wright was moved up to start the series opener.

The 23-year-old Rodriguez is 1-3 with an 8.59 ERA in six starts with the Red Sox this season.

Boston opened a roster spot by optioning right-hander Noe Ramirez last Sunday.
