Kacey Bellamy is an American defenseman who has been a major part of the U.S. women’s national team since 2008, who won a silver medal in her Olympic debut at Vancouver in 2010. 

Career highlights:

  • 2010 Olympics: Won a silver medal, tallying one assist in five games.
  • IIHF World Championships: Won gold medals in 2008, 2009, 2011 and 2013.
  • Professional Hockey: Playing for the Boston Blades, she won a Canadian Women’s Hockey League championship–the Clarkson Cup–in 2012-13.

Things to know:

1. Played four seasons at the University of New Hampshire, being named to the RBK All-America First Team in 2008-09, her senior season.

2. Graduated the University of New Hampshire in 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in women’s studies.

3. Has an older brother named Robbie who plays professional hockey, most notably for the Philadelphia Flyers’ top minor-league team, the Adirondack Phantoms.
