Lung cancer patients may get an unexpected benefit from cholesterol-lowering drugs.
Researchers looked at data on almost 14,000 patients.
The study found that lung cancer patients on the drugs around the time of their diagnosis were slightly less likely to die from the disease.
This doesn’t prove that cholesterol-lowering drugs prolonged their lives, but doctors said the finding is worth looking into.
