Wow, just like that another month is coming to a close and it appears our time with a stubborn storm is too! Once again we are under the influence of a slow moving, weak storm south of Nova Scotia. This storm first arrived way back on Marathon Monday! At that time it was a potent storm with wind & rain but now it’s just a shell of itself swirling about with clouds & cool conditions. That’s today & tomorrow for us—more clouds than sun and seasonably cool temps.
As we hit the weekend, something glorious happens…..the storm moves away and that allows all sorts of warm/dry air not located across the center part of the nation to flood into New England. #Sweetness. Both weekend days will offer a mix of sun & clouds as well as warming temps. Saturday most towns reach the 60s and by Sunday we’ll hit the 70s. Heads up–both weekend days along the coast will see a sea breeze so for coastal locations (including metro Boston) temps are in the 50s and 60s.
Early next week still looks like it’s suddenly summer for New England with sunshine, warmth, humidity and event the risk of some late day thunderstorms on Tuesday. Overall, May looks like a warm month for New Englanders–perhaps a bit dry too.
