MASHPEE, MASS. (WHDH) - An East Sandwich woman was the first to win a $15 million grand prize, and she did so on her way to the gym.

Hilary Alma purchased her winning ticket Tuesday morning at the Mashpee Country Store. Alma opted for the annuity option for the prize and got the first $750,000 payment of 20 annual payments. She plans to put some of the winnings towards home repairs.

The grand prize is the most substantial prize available on any scratch and win ticket.

The Mass Lottery will pay the store $50,000 which is the highest retailer bonus in the Lottery’s history.

Three $15 million prizes, and sixty-two $1 million prize remain in the “Ultimate Millions” game. The game is the Lottery’s third $30 instant ticket.
