A special group of students at Auburn High School make sure all students feel included in activities inside and outside of school.
Rockets to rockets is a group that plans events at Auburn High, focusing on inclusion for all students, especially those with special needs.
Kennadi Ohman and Brianna Stomski have turned the program into a success, uniting students inside the classroom, and outside of school.
Their adviser couldn’t be happier. "The most important thing is they’re naturals. They just come in and they instinctively and intuitively know what to do," said Wendy Quiron.
The two girls say the group has even given them a career path, with Brianna wanting to be a special education teacher, and Kennadi knowing she wants a classroom of her own one day.
Kennadi and Brianna say the Rockets to Rockets program gave them a new perspective of others, and making sure everyone’s comfortable in group activities no matter what.
