Marian High School senior Will Robertson is a caretaker of sorts.

He serves Framingham’s hungry at Pearl Street Cupboard and Café, a United Way soup kitchen, one night a week.

He learned these values at a young age from his mother, Katie.

Katie Robertson is a single mom, and back when Will was little, she said she relied on food pantries and soup kitchens to keep her family fed.

Will only found out about this recently.

Katie admitted it wasn’t easy telling her son, but it was important that he know the truth.

The Robertsons no longer rely on others. Now, Will is repaying the kindness shown to them tenfold.

Volunteering at Pearl Street is only the tip of the iceberg, and he’s been showered with awards.

Here’s a list of all the charities and activities Will Robertson supports:

  • P.O.T.S., Bronx, New York (A food pantry in New York City): Will Robertson has spearheaded a shoe drive for the pantry, and also raised funds by creating a 3×3 basketball tournament in Framingham.

Will Robertson is also active in Key Club and Peer Ministry, and is a Student Ambassor at Marian High School
