News outlets across the country had front-page headlines on the NFL’s report on deflategate.
The Indianapolis Star dedicated much of its front page to the story, with the headline “Cheating Patriots? ‘More probable than not.'”
Indianapolis has a vested interest in this because the Colts lost to the Pats in the deflategate game: the AFC Championship.
USA Today weighed in with the headline “NFL must suspend patriots QB Brady,” and “for the sake of integrity, star player better be taken off the field.”
As for tabloid headlines, the New York Daily News took it a bit further with its flashy headline, “Great Balls of Liar,” with a “Deflatriots” logo on the bottom right of the front page.
Other tabloids opted for more racy headlines.
