Happy Mother’s Day mom and to all you moms out there, and thanks to all the hard work and love you put in. It doesn’t go unnoticed and hopefully today you can enjoy and relax a bit as we show you our appreciation.
On this Mother’s Day, Mother Nature is certainly providing summer-like weather for us with a bit of humidity and temperatures that surge into the middle to upper 80s this afternoon. If you’re taking mom to the beach from the South Shore, points north, the sand and air will be warm, the UV index high, however, those waters are still bone chilling cold, so don’t dare mom to jump in! The Cape and Islands will battle some low clouds and fog this morning, especially the Islands and temps there range from the mid 60s to lower 70s as a southwest wind is coming in off the cool ocean waters. Much of today is dry, however, in northern Mass/Southern New Hampshire a late-day/evening shower or rumble of thunder is possible in a few towns.
Tomorrow’s forecast temperature wise is a bit of a challenge. We may see temps warm well into the 70s by late morning away from the coast, then get shoved back into the 50s and 60s as winds turn onshore again. In Boston, I think we’ll near 70 in the morning and fall back into the 50s in the afternoon! A passing shower is possible, but much of the time will be dry.
Tuesday, the humidity and warmth is back with us as a couple of afternoon scattered storms are also possible with a cold front heading in. The nature of the storms are hit or miss, so some towns get hit, while other towns need another dose of water on the grass seed and freshly planted flowers. The patterns been a mainly dry one, and it looks like much of the time will be dry next week with near seasonable temps mid to late week.
Enjoy the day Moms!
