Veteran long distance runner Meb Keflezighi will be taking part in his fourth Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
The 41-year-old will be the oldest American Olympic runner in history when he competes in the men’s marathon in Brazil this August.
He is the olympic silver medalist in the marathon in Athens in 2004.
Keflezighi also finished in fourth place in the summer Olympics in London four years ago.
He also won the Boston Marathon in 2014, a year after the attack that killed three people and injured over 260 others.
Keflezighi who was born in Eritrea and came to the U.S. at the age of 12, says Rio’s climate may favor him.
