Severe weather in Iowa brought high winds and heavy hail to the area.

The National Weather Service said wind gusts in Cedar Rapids, Iowa reached 95-miles-per-hour during strong storms.

Large hail fell, as evidenced by this picture sent to 7News from the father of one of our employees.

The hail stone measures nearly 2 inches in diameter, and appears to be larger than a golf ball.

The severe weather is said to have caused thousands of dollars in damage at an airport in the area.
