So, Britney Spears is releasing a new album. Thoughts?? Oh wait… That’s not what I’m supposed to (allowed to) blog about. Um, the forecast… Yeah! Let’s talk about the weather: Today’s forecast is a bit like an “Oops! I did it again…” because today will be awesome like yesterday. See what I did there? Oh, ya ya ya ya ya.
Approval ratings are in from yesterday’s weather and it looks like it was a 10 out of 10! Okay, I really only polled myself and a few of my closest friends, but I still think most would agree that yesterday was Summer Weather at its best! Let’s do it again today, and then make it a “third time’s a charm” for tomorrow. While we start off with cool temps again this morning, we’ll warm things up quickly; already into the mid 70s by 10am and then into the 80s after lunch. Highs top out in the mid 80s for most, with the coastline in the low 80’s due to a light sea breeze. See? I told you yesterday, there’s no need to get too bummed out about losing a little daylight each day (sunset is at 7:59pm tonight *wah wah*) because we’re still in the thick of the BEST days of summer. Tomorrow is much the same, but maybe with another degree or two added to today’s highs.
Last weekend I received an email suggestion that we include an average “dewpoint” on our 7-day forecast. While I do believe that would be too many numbers on one graphic, we do try to include our “dewpoint” trend in most of our forecasts. I myself suffer from more of a “flat factor” than a “frizz factor” when it comes to humidity and hair-do’s, but I DO realize the importance of “humidity awareness” for your daily plans. Today’s humidity will be a non-issue, much like yesterday. Tomorrow, some of us will notice it starting to feel a bit humid. However, it really isn’t until Saturday when the stickiness is sticking around… and making everything else sticky too. That’s also when we expect our next round of showers and storms…
I know there are a LOT of outdoor activities happening this weekend, from Pearl Jam at Fenway to the Pan Mass Challenge. I know the forecast for both Saturday and Sunday is very important. Our next weather maker is on the horizon, moving through the Midwest today. It arrives in our area on Saturday, when we’ll likely be tracking scattered showers and thunderstorms. The details on this are still mostly TBD, but it looks like the main action happens in the afternoon. We’ll have to nail down the details tomorrow – but I will say, it does not look like a washout. Stay tuned…
After this cool front sweeps through though, it’s back to more summah stunnah’s in the forecast! Humidity lowers for Sunday and highs will be into the 80s through the middle of next week. See? The BEST days of summer are still to come! Enjoy each and every one of them. – Breezy
