Police are searching for a suspect in Dorchester after a person was shot and a dog was injured.
The shooting happened around 1 a.m. Thursday.
Police received a call that the shooting happened on McClellan Street.
An 18-year-old girl suffered potentially life threatening injuries. Emergency responders found her on Page Street, where she tried to run home.
Police have taped off the area as they continue to investigate.
The dog was put into a police cruiser with bandages on his leg. It appears he will be okay.
