There hasn’t been much need for our radar lately with most towns running a 4-5″ rainfall deficit since March 1st! We don’t want(or even need) 4-5″ of rain in one day but it would be nice to get an all-day soaker where cities, towns, lawns, gardens pick up 1-2″ of rain. Sadly, today is not that type of  rain event rather a few showers that will only drop around .30″ of rain. The rain isn’t even with us all day either as I think most towns are done with the rain by 12-1pm (bit later out on the Cape/Islands).

This weather system is a cool front that will sweep the clouds/shower threat out of here by later this evening and usher in more dry air for the remainder of the week. Sunshine is back in full force tomorrow along with a refreshing breeze. More sun on Thursday but less wind. Friday sees a few more clouds with yet another cool front.

Our first Holiday Weekend of the summer is on the horizon and as of now it looks promising. All three days look dry with a mix of sun & clouds. Temps might be a smidge on the cool side for you beach lovers with afternoon temps on both Saturday and Memorial Day in the 60s. Sunday looks the best for the beach with partly sunny skies & temps in the low 70s. More on the weekend later in the week.
