To hot?!—-ehh……perhaps a bit warm but I’m just observing—not in any way, shape or form complaining about the early summer heat. We have another hot & humid day today….sort of. Like this past Friday, a backdoor front will drop into coastal locations later this morning offering relief from the heat/humidity.
The easy part of the forecast is for locations west & south of Boston….in these cities & towns it’s another hot & humid day with temps in the low 80s. The tricky area of the forecast is from Boston proper/north up along the North Shore. This front will send temps from the upper 70s late this morning down into the 60s this afternoon. It’s figuring exactly just where this front will set up shop. The simple message is plan on sharply cooler temps the closer to the water you plan on being this afternoon. We all see a mix of sun & clouds today.
Tomorrow is another hot & humid day for all of southern New England–no backdoor fronts here but there will be a frontdoor front—coming from a more traditional location—New York State–late in the day. This front may lead to a few isolated late day t-storms and it will also send our temps back to May levels by midweek. Refreshingly cool air is in place for late week.
As for rainfall, newly planted veggies & flowers–as well as grass seed will need water from you—our dry pattern rolls on for much of the next 5-10 days across the region.
