It’s not where you start, it’s where you finish, right? We’ll that line fit’s the bill this weekend as we awake to plenty of clouds and even a brief passing shower on this Saturday morning.
Lots of clouds, and a stray passing shower, hang with us through the morning but as high pressure starts to nose it’s way into New England, sunshine starts to take over the skies this afternoon from northwest to southeast. That means, clouds linger across Southeast Mass the longest today, and with a north to northeast breeze, it’ll be a cool day along the beaches, especially the South Shore and Cape. While it’s cool for the beach, it’ll be just fine for those afternoon ball games and graduation parties as highs head up toward 70+ inland and hold in the 60s along the coast.
Clear skies prevail this evening, and with light winds and a low humidity air mass settling in, it’ll be a cool night. Temps by tomorrow morning in the chilliest suburbs fall into the upper 30s! We’ll hold near 50 in the city.
Sunday looks great with plenty of sun. Once again, sea breezes at the coast keep it cool along the shoreline (low 60s), but we head for the low to mid 70s inland, under a sun-filled sky.
If this upcoming week is your vacation week and you’re looking for beach weather, be patient. It’ll come, but we just have to get through some scattered showers Monday and Tuesday before drier weather and 80s re-emerge by Wednesday. Those water temps are awfully chilly though, in the low to mid 50s!
Enjoy the weekend.
