So, in a nutshell, here’s what we are looking at the next two days:

blog-2
Summer and fall. Fall and spring are hybrid seasons if you will, transitioning back & forth between winter & summer with early fall featuring some leftover hot & humid days mixed in with days that offer ideal weather. It can be taxing with wardrobe decisions as one day is a jacket/sweater day with the next right back into shorts, T-shirts & flip flops. Tomorrow is the latter.

On the map this evening is High Pressure and a cool front:

blog-1
Out ahead of this front is humid air and that humidity will find its way into New England tomorrow sending us back into summer mode. Thankfully, ,this humidity is not as oppressive as it was last week and thanks to the front, the humidity will be short-lived. As the front sweeps the muggy junk out to sea it will pop some showers & thunderstorms tomorrow afternoon. As of this evening, the storm threat is greatest between 3-8pm. The storms will not be widespread but some of the storms may produce some gusty wind. Normally, I wouldn’t be overly concerned about this type of wind (gusts over 40mph possible) but with our severe drought the tree roots are not, well…rooted, if you will and so that type of wind may lead to some tree damage. I don’t think it’s a repeat of Sunday tho but something to be aware of. After 8pm, the storm threat quickly fades (great for The Boss at Gillette) and so does the humidity setting the stage for some awesome late week weather. Another preview of fall.
