Back from vacation…no, not me…summer! Contrary to what we may think of summer—-it’s not 90 straight days of sunshine, high humidity and crazy heat. Much like winter when there are warm stretches of weather (January Thaw anyone?), it’s completely normal to have a stretch of cool weather like we just had—especially when you are located near a chilly ocean but we don’t live for January Thaw’s….we live for our summer vacations…not summer’s vacation!
Sunshine is back to work tomorrow and that sunshine goes to work sending temps back to where they belong in July–the 80s! If you’re not a fan of the heat at least the humidity is kept in check for one more day. All in all, a great summer day. Wednesday & beyond we see that humidity build as well as temps near 90 each afternoon. That will lead to an uncomfortable feel for outdoor activities not near a pool, pond or ocean. In terms of any beneficial rain from this heat/humidity combo, I think only a few isolated t-storms possible late Thursday afternoon as well as late Friday afternoon. Nothing widespread but the chance is there.
Enjoy the summer weather!
