Whew… it’s a warm and muggy start with temperatures this morning running into the low 70s to kick off the day. Considering the average high this time of year is in the mid 70s, it’s certainly an impressive start to the day. With morning winds out of the southwest, the humidity is sky high too as dewpoints hover near 70. That wind switches to the west to northwest this afternoon behind a cool front, but that front acts more like a dry line than a cool down.  Dewpoints drop to near 60 this afternoon and with more sunshine this afternoon vs. this morning, we’ll see temps surge to near 90. While I can’t rule out a spot AM/midday shower or sprinkle, the majority of locations are dry.

The weather over the weekend is warm, but not as hot. Highs Saturday run in the mid to upper 70s at the coast to the low to mid 80s inland. Sunday, temps run in the lower 80s. While we’re not talking washout/drought denting rains in here, there will be the opportunity for a few scattered showers. One chance tomorrow morning with a warm front and one chance Sunday morning with a cool front.  Behind that front, a refreshing airmass settles in Monday.

While I don’t see any prolonged Fall weather ahead, we’ll catch another good burst of it on Thursday with afternoon highs near 70 and lows in the 40s for many locations outside Boston.

Enjoy the warmth and enjoy the weekend!
