Gusty winds remain across the region, although the wind today, not quite as strong as yesterday. With gusts 25-35mph today, strongest across the Cape and Islands, it’ll be another chilly day too, albeit dry with partial sunshine. Highs max out in the mid to upper 50s.
We’ll keep the mid to upper 50s around today, tomorrow and Wednesday. We’re also tracking the remnant low of Ian to our south as it spins just south of the New England coastline. It’ll throw some showers mid-week, with a few showers near the south coast tomorrow, and more widespread showers Tuesday night and Wednesday. I don’t expect any flooding rain or wind damage here. Across the mid-Atlantic, the prolonged easterly winds will continue to produce coastal flooding there.
Clouds break for some sun Thursday, and temps take off, to near 70. We’ll push the numbers up to near 75 on Friday. A cold front comes barreling through Friday night, providing a chill to the air by the weekend. Temps Saturday max out in the mid 50s and then drop off into the 30s by Sunday morning. The weekend does look dry though, right through Columbus Day.
