It’s been a very mild start to the weekend, with highs in the upper 50s to around 60°!  If you were out and about today, you may have been like me – happy to shed that heavy winter coat for a little stroll outside!  Today is the 8th day of this month that we’ve experienced above average temperatures, as it seems the “warmer” days have been few and far between this November.  Don’t get to used to it, either.  It’s “one and done” with this mild day – and we’re in for chilly changes overnight.

A cold front will sweep through tonight, and may bring a few light showers/sprinkles to some spots (likely to favor E Mass).  Really, this is only a 10% chance.  Most of us will stay dry tonight as this front doesn’t make a whole lot of noise.  However, you’ll notice the difference tomorrow the moment you step outside.  It’s not only colder, but there will also be a chilly wind out of the WNW – making temperatures feel some 5-10° cooler.  Lows tonight will be in the low to mid 30s for most, closer to 40° for Boston.  We may even have a few flurries early tomorrow morning, to punctuate the arrival of colder air!  Any flurries we do see will be very isolated and shouldn’t lead to any accumulation/coating.  Most likely any flakes will favor the higher terrain of the Worcester Hills.  The sunshine is back in full force tomorrow afternoon, but the wind will add an extra bite to the air.  Going to Gillette?  Dress for a “real feel” in the 30s:

Monday’s forecast is similar to Sunday, with a mix of sun and clouds, highs in the low to mid 40s and a chilly wind to nip at your nose.

It’s a mainly dry/quiet week ahead, with another boost in temps by mid-week.  However, we’ll have to watch Friday-Sunday closely, as there looks to be a potential coastal storm in store for the weekend.  It’s still several days away, and details need to be ironed out… Still plenty of time to do so.  At first look, it does appear to be a long duration event (throughout the weekend) with rain and wind (rather than snow).  As always, we’ll keep you posted every step of the way.  – Breezy
