The snow on the ground certainly made it look like winter over the last couple days, and with the cold air in place, it certainly feels like winter again this morning. Temps start the day off in the teens and low 20s for most, and with the breeze out of the northwest around 10mph, you’ll want the hat and gloves at the bus stop this morning. At least it’s nice and dry with a ton of sunshine so the sunglasses will help with some early morning solar glare as well.

Highs recover into the mid to upper 30s this afternoon, dip back into the teens and 20s tonight and right back into the mid to upper 30s again tomorrow. The difference tomorrow is the breeze that kicks up out of the northwest will be stronger with gusts 25-35mph at times. A cold wind for sure.

Thursday is mostly cloudy with highs near 40 and a few spotty light rain/snow showers possible, but won’t amount to much.

The rain and snow we catch Thursday night into Friday will amount to more. With that said, most of that falls as rain away from the higher terrain of Southern New England as a strong east wind will drag in milder ocean air through eastern Mass. The best chance for a few inches of snow will be across the Worcester Hills, with the highest totals in Northern Worcester County, the Berkshires and up into Ski County up north. Any mixed snow/ice is brief near and east of 495. Rain totals likely push 1-2″ across most of eastern Mass.

We’ll dry out for the weekend with a chilly breezy and highs near 40.
