A brief stint of late Spring sent temps soaring into the 70s early yesterday afternoon for many. However, like the day before, the abrupt change came in during the afternoon as winds shifted to the northeast and temps tumbled back into the 40s.

This morning, we start wet with widespread rain and very chilly with temps running in the mid 30s to around 40. Rain tapers off to spotty drizzle by midday with temps holding steady in the upper 30s to 40. While we’ll catch some dry breaks in the afternoon, the clouds look locked in place.

Friday starts off where we ended Thursday… upper 30s with spotty showers/drizzle early. Gradually, we’ll see improvements as we shake off the northeast wind and temps warm to near 50 by midday, and then bump up into the low to mid 60s by late afternoon with a few breaks of sun. Heading to Fenway? Pregame temps are cool, near 50, but warm into the 60s by the mid to late innings.

Tickets for Saturday? Yes, the high temp on the 7 day shows 60+, but that’s in the late morning. Temps come crashing back midday, into the afternoon. Plan on 40s for the game with a chilly breeze.

Easter Sunday temps rise up into the 60s again. Showers are isolated in the morning, and more widespread in the afternoon.
