Pats crush it, the Sox are on a roll, it’s Friday, and the weekend weather is looking just fine. If you have a little extra hop in your step this morning, it’s easy to understand why. Sure, if you were up late watching the Pats, it may take an extra cup of coffee to get there, but was it worth it or what?! I had faith they’d win, but 27-0?… wow.

Anyway, let’s talk weather shall we? After a beauty of a day yesterday with low humidity and temps well into the 80s, we’ll once again find ourselves on the warm side with many towns running into the lower to middle 80s by early to mid afternoon.

This go around, we’ll have more clouds in the mix too as a cold front approaches. While a few towns north of the Pike may catch a passing sprinkle this morning, the better chance for showers arrives late-day and through this evening as a cold front pushes through. Winds turn north to northeast behind the front from 5-9pm from northeast to southwest today, and that’ll be all she wrote for the summer time warmth. Heading out for dinner and a movie. Keep the umbrella on standby for a few scattered showers and have a light jacket on hand. Temps fall into the 60s by 7pm and upper 50s to near 60 by midnight.

The showers are out of here by sunrise tomorrow and any early clouds yield to a mix of sun and a few fair weather clouds. The breeze is active and with bone dry humidity and temps in the mid to upper 60s, it’ll certainly feel more like Fall. Lows at night fall into the upper 30s in the cooler burbs and even the upper 40s in Boston.  Some mid 30s are possible Sunday night in the burbs! Sunshine and a few clouds mix together on Sunday with highs in the low 60s and a bit of a breeze.

Fall in full force this weekend for sure… now go pick those apples, fall flowers, enjoy a few cider donuts and watch some football!
