What a stretch of weather we’ve had lately! Only 5 days so far this month have featured some rain in the city of Boston as well as through much of the Commonwealth. Overall, the drier than average pattern looks to continue.  With that said, it doesn’t mean the whole 7 day forecast will be dry as a couple of shower chances do roll through.  Let’s break it down…

Today, sunshine starts the day but a disturbance with some cold air aloft swinging on through will build up some clouds by late morning and allow a few midday/early afternoon showers to pop up.  The atmosphere is fairly dry, so rain won’t be that widespread and the best chance for that passing shower is north of the Mass Pike.  Across northern MA and NH, a rumble of thunder is possible too.  If you catch a passing shower, it’ll likely be in the Noon-4pm time frame and only take up a small portion of that time.  By dinner time, dry and stable air builds in.  Highs today near 80.

Thursday starts dry, but the chance of some midday/afternoon showers is still there.  If we get a few heavier showers, they’ll likely be near/south of the Mass Pike.  It’s possible that the bulk of the rain stays south of us, so not all towns will see a beneficial rain as it looks like now.  Highs run in the 70s.

Beyond tomorrow, high pressure dominates as sunshine rules Friday-Monday.  Warmth builds Sunday and Monday too with near 90 degree readings inland.  We’ll hold 75-80 at the coast on those days.  Another great weekend ahead!
