We’ve got a few sprinkles this morning is eastern Mass., but we kick-start a quiet stretch of weather this Thursday. Mild temperatures are with us yet another day! While we’re starting out 5-10° cooler than yesterday morning, we’ll actually warm up nicely into the mid-50s today. The coast and Cape are having some difficulty shaking cloud cover this morning. A weak wave of energy is packing on some cloud cover, which could even touch off a stray shower this morning across eastern Mass. However, we’ve got just a slight chance for this moisture, and most of us look to stay dry! Expect mostly cloudy skies across the coast and Cape this morning, with a mixture of sun and clouds into the afternoon. Western Mass can enjoy more sunshine throughout the day, after they ditch just a little bit patchy fog early this morning.

Winds end up out of the north today as high pressure moves in from our west. Winds will be breezier this afternoon, gusting up to around 23 mph….so layers might be a good idea this Thursday! High pressure pays New England a visit through the rest of your workweek. This brings us another mild stretch of weather with dry skies, and temperatures in the mid to upper-50s. By Saturday, high pressure starts to lose its grip on us. Then the low pressure system that’s delivering a snowy punch to the Upper Midwest today will bring us some wet weather Saturday night into Sunday.

Our weather pattern changes dramatically after Sunday’s frontal system tracks through New England. The jet stream dips further southward, ushering in some more seasonable, cool Canadian air. This will drop our highs into the mid to upper 40s for much of your Turkey week.

Enjoy our mild stretch of weather….before our Sunday cool down!
