Wow, just wow.  While the gardens and lawns don’t appreciate the recent pattern, it has been a spectacular run overall and this past weekend was no exception.  Today, we pick up right where we left off.

Low humidity and a lot of sun hold through this morning before a few more clouds mix in this afternoon.  The breeze is active out of south and that does increase the humidity through the day with a bit of the muggies returning by this evening.  Southerly winds gust 20-25mph, allowing for the warmest temps this afternoon northwest of Boston.

While I don’t see any rain today during the daylight hours, there will be a few scattered showers and storms trying to sneak in this evening, overnight and on Tuesday. The best chance to pick up a shower or storm tonight-Tuesday afternoon is northwest of 495 with anything inside 495 isolated.  A more widespread chance for showers and storms roll in here on Wednesday as a slow moving front slides through. With a good plume of moisture in place, any shower or thunderstorm will be capable of producing a downpour. Needed rain for sure as many towns have seen little water in the last couple weeks and are pushing a 3-5″ lack of water since May 1st.

Longer range forecast shows more dry times than wet Thursday – The Fourth, however, occasionally a few showers and storms roll in. A front may spark a few Saturday and a couple could linger near the South Coast of New England Sunday, but I don’t expect a total washout on any day now. Highs should generally run in the 80s as well.
