Sticky icky stuff this morning for sure with temperatures running in the mid 60s to 70 to start the day and dewpoints running in the mid to upper 60s. That’s some muggy air.  If you don’t like the humidity, you’re in luck, it won’t last long as dewpoints this afternoon drop into the 40s and lower 50s.  As humidity lowers, temps go up under a sky that features returning sunshine.  Highs this afternoon top off in the mid to upper 80s, including Boston. Temps across the Cape/Islands hold in the 70s after a few early morning showers.

First go the muggies, then the mid summer’s warmth.  A comfy overnight will lead to a cooler day tomorrow and as onshore winds prevail, highs tomorrow are only in the 70s… even fading into the upper 60s along the coast.  That temp fade continues into the end of the week with 60s common along the coast with temps in the lower 70s common inland.

While I don’t see a lot of rain over the next several days, a few scattered showers likely roll in Friday afternoon and Friday night.  Saturday looks good before more showers head in either Sunday afternoon or Sunday night and continue into Monday.

The overall set-up favors near seasonable levels, if not a bit below average temps, not only the rest of this week, but much of next week too.  Plan on lots of 60s and 70s for highs over the next 2 weeks after today.

Enjoy the warm weather this afternoon.  Great for grillin’ and chillin’ for dinner.
