We’re off to a much warmer start this Wednesday morning with temperatures in the mid-40s to mid-50s for most of us. Temperatures won’t warm up much from here, and will instead fall off this afternoon into the mid-40s to low-40s by early evening. So I’d pack the rain gear and a few warm layers, because it’s still going to feel a tad chilly today (especially when winds pick up out of the NW this afternoon).
Rain showers become more widespread and heavier during the early morning hours. By mid-morning nearly all of us our in on the wet weather, with the heaviest rain across eastern/SE Mass.

Today isn’t a total washout though for most us, as the heaviest rain falls during the morning, and then tapers west to east. We have the chance for downpours during this time as well as a few t’storms. While eastern Mass. does have the chance for some early afternoon showers, the general trend will have the rain lighten past the lunch hour.

Boston has the slight chance for a few late afternoon showers, but by early evening the better chance for any lingering moisture will be across the Cape & Islands.

Downpours are possible today especially across eastern Massachusetts. Rainfall totals for most across eastern Mass. look to fall between 0.50-1.00″, with totals NW of 495 closer to 0.15-0.45″.
