While the weather worked out for the Trick or Treaters last night, the weather is not working out for the morning commute this morning as showers have moved back in. Wet roads continue through the morning commute as light to moderate showers drop 0.10-.25″, creating puddles and slick spots thanks to wet leaves.

Shower activity is fairly widespread this morning, but trends to isolated by early this afternoon. We then dry out mid to late afternoon from northwest to southeast, with some breaks of sun possible too, especially northwest of Boston after 3pm. Highs run into the mid to upper 60s, about 10 degrees above average for the time of year.

Dry air pushes in tonight, and stays here for the rest of the week. It’ll be mild tomorrow, upper 60s inland, near 60 at the coast. While it turns a bit cooler Thursday, upper 50s to near 60 coast, low 60s inland, mild air bounces back in here quickly to end the week. In fact, we’ll be chasing record highs this weekend as temps warm into the low to mid 70s. The record to beat Saturday is 79 and 73 on Sunday. We’ll fall short Saturday, but may cruise by Sunday’s record as mid 70s are likely. Clocks go back one hour this weekend too as it seems like the calendar goes back 2 months.
