The summer theme rolls on as more dry times are ahead of us over the next 7+ days. Aside from an isolated shower inland Sunday and a few scattered showers/thunder Sunday night/early Monday, we’re talking little rain this weekend and much of next week. One thing I do see that’s a bit different in the pattern, is the fact that a cool front delivers a taste of early Fall from Monday evening to Wednesday morning. By Thursday and Friday of next week, we’ll likely push toward 90 degrees again.
If 90 degrees sounds familiar, you’re right, we’ve had plenty of them this summer. Yesterday added another to the list that now stands at 18 days in Boston as afternoon temps briefly snuck up and hit the nine zero. The ongoing drought is also an issue with much of the Boston Metro area and northeast Mass in an extreme drought. With only 3.02″ of rain since June 1st in Boston, we’re on pace for the driest summer on record if rainfall doesn’t exceed 3.97″ (record set in 1957) for the summer by the end of the month. The best chance for measurable rain over the next 7 days in Boston, and much of the area, is Sunday night/Monday AM.
Anyway, enjoy the weekend, there’s always so much going on from concerts to tee times to beach plans… all of which look good. Below are a slew of graphics on what to expect ahead.
