Today looks to be the nicest day of the workweek, with mostly sunny skies this morning, mild winds & seasonable temperatures! This morning offers a pretty sharp contrast to yesterday morning’s messy AM commute. Skies stay dry throughout the day as weak high pressure stays in command of our weather pattern throughout the day. This system is camped out to our south, which continue to usher in some warmer air.
Our next chance at wet weather is tonight after dinnertime into the late tonight. This piece of energy could bring some flurries (mostly to Worcester County) and light rain across the coast & Cape. Little to no accumulation is expected. Plus, this wet weather is out of here by early tomorrow morning. So apart from a few slick spots NW of 495, we’re looking at a very manageable commute tomorrow morning. The BIG story moving forward is the arctic front that will bring us the frigid temps into Thursday and Friday. This front arrive late Wednesday night into Thursday, which will cause falling temperatures into your Thursday forecast. It’s also going to be windy Thursday and Friday, which will bring some below zero wind chill values.
Despite the cold air Thursday and Friday, our weekend storm system looks to bring more moderate air. This means we again have the chance for snow switching over to rain into Saturday.Enjoy our Tuesday sunshine & seasonable weather!
