The day started with nasty humidity once again. Not good. By afternoon, that mugginess had been flushed out of here thanks to a nice, healthy breeze! At times, that wind was a bit feisty, gusting near (and over) 30 mph. A very early sign of fall…a little more wind energy behind a cold front. Usually, August cold fronts don’t quite have the same punch as Janaury cold fronts (#Snarky) but will change in the coming weeks. So, we’ll take that breeze which is fully capable of moving muggy air outta here! This breeze fades away overnight and left behind is hopefully a good night of sleeps ahead for ya!
As for the rest of the week and into the weekend, it’s back to the dry pattern—bad for our drought but great for vacationers & outdoor enthusiasts. Sunshine is with us through the upcoming weekend–at times clouds will be present such as tomorrow afternoon and again Saturday/Sunday early mornings. A weak Low Pressure system zips through New England tomorrow afternoon which may set off an isolated shower during the afternoon but the chance is low & we’re talking isolated.
Temps over the next few days are seasonably warm with afternoon highs in the 80s (near 70 on the beaches/coast for Friday & Saturday). Humidity will slowly be on the rise through the weekend, reaching a peak early next week (Monday) which will coincide with our next chance of rain showers.
Enjoy what’s left of your Wednesday!
