Wowie, wow, wow, wow. Low 80s early this morning with dewpoints running in the mid 70s? That’s about as warm as you’ll get for an early morning across southern New England. In fact, at 5am, Boston’s 81 degrees was warmer than Miami’s 78. Downright tropical for sure.
Despite rocking the low 80s this morning, we will not be close to record highs today, in fact, the numbers this afternoon only show a modest rise. While temps steady in the mid to upper 80s by midday, humidity levels come sliding down. We’ll go from the 70s to 60s this morning for dewpoints and then down into the mid to upper 50s this afternoon. Add in a northwest breeze around 15-20mph, and it’ll feel a whole lot better this afternoon.
How about some rain? Nope, not much. Other than a stray early shower with the front this morning and an isolated late-day/evening shower or storm tomorrow, much of the time is waterless through the weekend. Great for vacation plans, not so great for the drought. Temps will be warm, but not oppressive with highs most days running into the mid to upper 80s. The next best chances for showers and storms is on Monday.
