Soaking rains settled in overnight with many locations picking up between 0.75-1.50″ of rain by early this morning. While the downpours taper off early this morning for many locations near and west of I-95, heavy rain in likely through mid morning (8-10am) for far Southeast Mass. After that, it remains mostly cloudy across the region with just a leftover isolated shower. It remains very mild with temps well into the 50s. Gusty winds push 30-40mph across Southeast Mass this morning as well.
We’ll dry out overnight as temps head back into the 30s. We’ll stay more seasonable tomorrow with highs in the mid 30s to low 40s. Mostly cloudy skies prevail with just an isolated sprinkle or shower possible near the coast.
As an area of low pressure off the coast develops, it’ll get close enough to throw some rain/snow back across coastal Mass, Saturday night through Sunday night. Winds will be gusty at the coast too. As of now, it looks like the steadiest precipitation will be across Southeast Mass, where the best chance for up to a few inches of snow is. We’ll keep an eye on that.
