Got to make em count, right? While every weekend in the summer tends to rely on nice weather, it’s especially true for the last weekend in August as many folks enjoy the last couple weeks of summer before the craziness of Fall kicks back in with the kids heading back to school/sports and all that goes along with that. Although, I’m sure some parents don’t mind the kids heading back to the classroom :-).
Anyway, the weekend weather looks solid with a comfortable amounts of humidity and temps. To get there, we just need to go through this humid and warm Friday with a couple showers/storms to dodge. With any sunshine breaking out today, highs will surge to near 90 as dewpoints run into the low 70s. That’ll give us a tropical feel to the air. With the tropical air, comes a lot of water vapor, so any storm that does form will be capable of producing a downpour. The showers and storms are scattered, so not all towns get hit. The shower chance is isolated this morning as the best chance for a few showers/storms to pop is midday/afternoon. By late afternoon, the best chance tends to be across Southeast Mass. We’ll dry out overnight tonight and set the stage for a great weekend.

Saturday, temps run mid to a few upper 80s inland, near 80 at the coast. Sunday, take off a few degrees, but the pattern is similar. Any rain chance Sunday doesn’t come until dark with a passing shower or storm possible overnight Sunday.
While I can’t rule out a spot storm at times early next week, much of the time is dry and warm with highs in the mid 80s to near 90. At the end of the week, we’ll cool down, but without a chance a widespread rain.
In the tropics, we’re still watching the wave nearing eastern Cuba this morning but it’s not terribly organized at this point. Looks more of a rain-maker that anything else for south Florida toward the end of the weekend.
Enjoy the weekend!
