1 woman arrested, 2 others injured after dispute in Sutton

A fight involving four women in Sutton ended with at least one person being sent to the hospital on Wednesday.

Police said the incident happened at the intersection of Reservoir Avenue and West Third Street. Witnesses said four women were having a conversation on the street. At some point, officers said, the conversation became contentious and the women began to argue.

One woman, identified by police as 44-year-old Stacey Piercey, allegedly tried to drive away in her car and struck or ran over two remaining women. Police said the fourth woman tried pulling Piercey out of her car. According to witnesses, Piercey grabbed several bags from the car and ran away. Police officers found her a short distance away with the help of a police dog.

Piercey was charged with two counts of assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon and operating to endanger.

Police said one of the women was transported to the hospital via ambulance and the second was transported to the hospital via medical helicopter.

The incident remains under investigation.

Piercy will go before a judge Thursday morning.
