Bitter cold tonight
Cold air is spreading into Southern New England overnight, with temperatures falling quickly under clear skies and a northwest breeze. By midnight most of the area will have wind chills in the single digits with the exception of the Cape and Islands. Temperatures without factoring in wind will be in the teens and single digits for most Sunday morning. After the cold air tonight, a big warm up is on the way, with temperatures expected to reach 50 by Monday.
