SEATTLE (WHDH) -

The arrival time of Amazon packages may be jeopardized this year because of a strike by a pilot’s union.

ABX Air, a carrier currently contracted with Amazon for delivery services, said there are not enough pilots and that they are being overworked during the busy holiday months. The pilots claimed Amazon violated their contracts and went on strike last week.

A federal judge ordered the workers to return to their jobs last week, and Amazon said it made staffing adjustments weeks ago to ensure there would be no disruptions in service.

Pilots said they would return to work but demanded the issue that sparked the strike, a shortage of workers, be addressed.
