WALTHAM, MASS. (WHDH) - State Police confirmed that search crews have recovered the body of a missing swimmer in Waltham.
The 20-year-old man was swimming with friends at the Stony Brook Basin. The’s man brother said he did know how to swim but did not resurface just before 6 p.m.
Dive teams found the man’s body in 22 feet of water in the reservoir. The reservoir’s caretaker said fishing and swimming are not allowed in the body of water and he is constantly kicking people out.
Friends said the man graduated from Waltham High School in 2014.
The Middlesex County District Attorney is investigating the incident.
