Nearly 5.5 million bottles of Liquid Plumr clog removing products are being recalled because they fail to meet child-resistant closure requirements.
The recall involves three Liquid Plumr products–Liquid Plumr Pro-Strength Foaming Clog Fighter (formerly sold as Slow Flow Fighter), Liquid Plumr Industrial Strength Urgent Clear, and Liquid Plumr Pro-Strength Urgent Clear.
The Clorox Company has received eight reports of the caps not working as intended and more than 220 reports of the bottles leaking, posing the risk of chemical burns and irritation to the skin and eyes.
No injuries have been reported.
Consumers should keep the product away from children and contact the Clorox Company’s Liquid Plumr call center for refund instructions.
