EVERETT, MASS. (WHDH) - Firefighters were on the scene Tuesday night when a fire tore through two houses in Everett.

The fire initially sparked at a triple-decker on Floyd Street, then quickly spread to the house next door. Fire departments from Everett and Malden were on the scene to get the fire under control.

Firefighters said everyone in both houses has been evacuated safely and no one was injured. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
