BOSTON (WHDH) - Crews worked overnight into Tuesday morning to clean up the Esplanade after thousands packed in to watch the Boston Pops and the fireworks.
Joining the Boston Pops this year was country group Little Big Town, plus pop singers Nick Jonas and Demi Lovato. People filled the lawn in front of the Hatch Shell hours before the show to get a good spot.
The event was put on with heightened security. Extra police officers were on patrol, including troopers in helicopters and on the Charles River.
Police said there were no major incidents on the Esplanade.
