FITCHBURG, MASS. (WHDH) - Fitchburg was one of the areas hit the hardest by the storm; the town saw a solid 7 inches or so.

A parking ban remains in effect for the town.

Massachusetts Department of Transportation has more than 1,200 crews deployed across the state treating and clearing the roads.

Officials warned drivers the temperature of the pavement in most areas is below freezing.

The freezing could turn a slushy, messy street into a slick one overnight.
