LAWRENCE, MASS. (WHDH) - A video appears to show a mother passed out from an apparent heroin overdose at a Family Dollar store in Lawrence while her child cries at her side.
The video, posted to YouTube, shows the little girl crying and trying to wake up her mother, who is lying on the floor in the store’s toy aisle. She is eventually seen picking up her mother’s head and gently hitting her.
The user who uploaded the video to YouTube said witnesses called 911 and paramedics arrived. The user said the mother survived after receiving two doses of Narcan, a drug that reverses opioid overdoses.
It is not known if any charges will be filed.
