LAWRENCE, MASS. (WHDH) - A New Hampshire mother who overdosed in a Lawrence store in front of her young daughter was arraigned Monday on child endangerment charges.

Police said Mandy McGowan, 36, was the woman in a video that went viral back in September, showing her passed out from a drug overdose in the aisle of a dollar store in Lawrence. In the video, McGowan’s 2-year-old daughter is seen crying and trying to wake her up. Police said McGowan was revived with two shots of Narcan.

Prosecutors asked that McGowan be held on $10,000 cash bail and ordered to stay away from her daughter. Her attorney Jim Klotz said she has moved into a drug treatment facility in Wilmington and should not have her treatment interrupted.

The judge let McGowan leave on personal recognizance. The judge did not order McGowan to stay away from her daughter but Klotz said she is voluntarily staying away from her until she recovers.

McGowan’s daughter has placed in the custody of another family member.
